The Le Bons Bay Peace Memorial Library, Banks Peninsula, is registered by Heritage New Zealand. It was completed by late 1919 and includes a dedication to Peace Day, 19 July 1919, above the front door.

The Heritage New Zealand List says  ‘The Le Bons Bay Peace Memorial Library was built as a 'utilitarian' war memorial in 1919, commemorating the local casualties of the Great War. Although phased out from the National Library Service network in 1992, it continues to fulfil this local information/memorial role as an archive information centre run by community members.’
